Bhārat (India) is one of the oldest and continuous civilizations in the World that has stood the test of time. Bharat is the land of temples. A temple here is not only a symbolic place of worship but also an expression of an artist’s mind. The designs, the intricate sculptures, the perfection in geometry, aesthetic and the engineering complexity are just phenomenal. It is incredible that all this was done by human hands.

As a child I was always fascinated by the artistic creation of the temples in my village. I have gaped at them wide-eyed for hours. It was within those hallowed walls of my village temple that my art-dreams found wings. This series is my humble effort to explore the historic temple monuments of our Bharat.
